I decided to look back at some of the movies that are popular in America and their respective countries.

I’ve found 7 movies that are popular from the US.

The movies listed here were chosen because they have either been successful in the US or have a strong following outside the States.

There are plenty more movies worth watching, but these are some of the best.

#1 – Star Wars

I’m not going to lie – I love Star Wars. As a kid, I watched it multiple times a week and it still holds up today.

The story follows Luke Skywalker, a young Jedi who is looking for answers about his destiny. He meets a group of people known as the Rebellion, who fight against the evil Empire.

The movie is filled with awesome action scenes, epic battles and emotional moments. It’s also a great movie to watch with your kids.

#2 – The Godfather

Released: 1972

Director: Francis Ford Coppola

Starring: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, James Caan, Peter Boyle, John Cazale, Frederic Forrest, Frank Sivero, and Christopher Walken

One of the most important movies in history, this masterpiece was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and stars Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro.

This movie tells the story of a fictional crime family in New York City during the early 20th century.

It features amazing performances from its cast and includes many famous scenes such as a car chase on the Brooklyn Bridge, a wedding in a church, and a meeting in a barbershop.

#3 – The Matrix

Director: The Wachowski Brothers

Starring: Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, Gary Sinise, and John Barry

The Wachowski brothers are two brothers who decided to make their own version of the Matrix. They also wrote, directed and produced it.

This movie is filled with special effects, cool action sequences, and great characters.

It follows Neo, a computer hacker who has been living in a world known as The Matrix for years. He eventually discovers that there is a group of people known as “the Agents” who have been enslaving humans since the dawn of time.

This movie is both entertaining and thought-provoking. It’s also one of my favorite sci-fi movies ever made.

#4 – Independence Day

Starring: Bill Pullman, Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, Judd Hirsch, Brent Spiner, Judd Hirsch, Marg Helgenberger, Bill Paxton, Danny Glover, Florence Faivre, and Gary Sinise

The summer blockbuster is back!

In this movie, an alien force known as the Visitors invade Earth and threaten to destroy it. The United States responds by sending a team of soldiers into space to attack them.

This is a great action movie that features an awesome cast, great special effects, and a memorable villain.

#5 – Back to the Future

Starring: Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson

This film is one of my favorites because I love all the things about it.

It’s about Marty McFly, a teenager from the year 1955 who travels back in time to the future.

He meets his parents and has a series of adventures. The film also stars Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson.

The movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis, produced by Steven Spielberg, and written by Bob Gale.

#6 – Star Trek

Director: Gene Roddenberry

Starring: William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koenig, Majel Barrett, and Grace Lee Whitney

I love Star Trek, so this is one of my favorite movies. It’s about a starship called the Enterprise that travels through space and time.

This movie was released in 1966 and has been a huge influence on many science fiction shows and movies.

The story follows Captain Kirk, who is a Starfleet officer who leads the crew of the Enterprise.

#7 – The Avengers

Released: 2012

Director: Joss Whedon

Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, and Tom Hiddleston

This movie is one of my favorite superhero movies ever made. It’s about a group of superheroes who join forces to fight an evil villain.

It features some of the best actors in Hollywood and includes some great special effects.

The movie was directed by Joss Whedon, produced by Kevin Feige, and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, and Tom Hiddleston.

#8 – The Breakfast Club

Released: 1985

Director: John Hughes

Starring: Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, and Donald Faison

This movie is one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s about a group of high school students who become friends and have some adventures together.

The characters are so memorable that they’ve been used in many other movies and TV shows.

The film was directed by John Hughes, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and written by John Hughes and Charles Shyer.
